In the late 1960’s, David’s father Howard Morris - a well known Emmy winning character actor, TV and feature film director was determined to groom David on hundreds of shoots, seeing to it that David experience filmmaking from every on-set crew position. For more than 20 years, David studied directing firsthand on countless sitcoms, feature films, TV commercials, cartoons, live shows and theater productions.
In 1990, David, along with producer Sam Mollo, co-founded DigiVision in Los Angeles, one of the first creative firms in the country to use hard disc edit systems to produce full motion on-line video. The company expanded into Alter Ego Creative Entertainment, Inc. To date, these firms have created dozens of productions, from high-end Fortune 500 corporate and educational programs, to national TV commercials.
David's eye for brand imaging and public perception has benefited clients such as Sony, Disney, Universal Pictures, Warner Bros., MGM, Paramount, Discovery Kids, Nickelodeon, Electronic Arts, Pepsi Cola, Kellogg's, Parkay, Bank of America, Sebastian, Domino's Pizza, Lincoln/Mercury.
In the corporate arena, David has produced for dozens of clients in corporate marketing, manufacturing, training, safety & loss prevention, defense, aerospace, logistics, pool & spa, non-profit, charity, private sector business.
David has written and directed national TV merchandising campaigns supporting:
“The Lord Of The Rings,” “The Highlander,” “Xena,” “The Fast and the Furious,”
“2 Fast 2 Furious,” “Hercules,” "Marvel Comics," “Softub,” “Rite Touch,” “Toyo Tires,” “OralGiene Toothbrush,” and others.
David’s work has aired nationally on: NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, TBS, USA, MTV, MTV2, VH1, SPIKE, TNT, COMEDY CENTRAL, FUEL, TLC, FX, G4Tech, Sci-Fi, Telemundo, Oxygen.
David was raised in Hollywood, but now lives full-time in Ventura, CA.
